Delivery

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free on UK orders of £20 or more. Below £20 it is a flat £4.50. The delivery charge itself does not count towards the £20. We do not currently ship outside the UK.

When will I get my order?

We aim to despatch every order within two working days. From despatch, please allow a further 2 to 3 working days for standard delivery. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.

My order has not arrived, or something is missing.

Email hello@wakencare.com with your order number and we will find out what happened and put it right as quickly as we can. See our delivery information for the full detail.

Returns and the guarantee

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee in addition to your statutory rights. If you are not satisfied, tell us within 30 days of receipt and we will refund you. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you may also cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. The full terms are in our returns and refunds policy.

How long does a refund take?

Once a refund is confirmed, please allow 3 to 5 business days for it to reach your account.

Our products

Are Waken products vegan?

Yes. Our toothpastes and mouthwashes are certified by the Vegetarian Society as Vegan Friendly. Vegan status is shown on each product page.

Do your toothpastes contain SLS?

No. We use mild alternative foaming agents, so the paste foams a little less than some toothpastes. Foam is not what cleans your teeth; brushing is.

Do your products contain fluoride?

Yes. Our adult toothpastes contain fluoride at 1450 ppm and our mouthwashes at 250 ppm. Our children's toothpastes contain fluoride at a level appropriate to the age range on the pack.

Are your mouthwashes alcohol-free?

Yes. Every Waken mouthwash is made without alcohol, so it freshens breath without the sting.

Which products are suitable for children?

Waken Kids Toothpaste is for ages 3 to 12 and Tiny Waken Toothpaste is for ages 0 to 2. We do not recommend our mouthwashes for children under 7, and our adult toothpastes are not for use by children under 7. The Kids Smile Club has brushing charts, a two-minute song and parent guides.

How does your whitening range work?

Waken Whitening Toothpaste and Whitening Mouthwash use natural plant enzymes (papain and bromelain) to help lift surface stains from tea, coffee and wine. They contain no hydrogen peroxide.

Which range should I choose?

Sonic toothbrush

How do I charge the sonic toothbrush?

Attach the magnetic USB cable to the charging point on the handle; it snaps into place when aligned. Plug the USB end into any standard USB power source and the brush charges automatically. A full charge takes about two hours and gives up to 60 brushes. Make sure the brush is dry before charging, and do not charge it near water.

How does the timer work?

Dentists recommend brushing for two minutes twice a day. The brush pauses briefly every 30 seconds to move you to the next quarter of your mouth and switches off after two minutes.

How often should I change the brush head?

At least every three months. Replacement heads come in packs of three.

What if I do not get on with the sonic toothbrush?

Packaging and recycling

How do I recycle my Waken packaging?

Our mouthwash bottles are made from 100% recycled HDPE plastic and are widely recyclable across the UK; the label does not need to be removed. Our toothpaste tubes are mono-material HDPE, designed to be recyclable in household plastic recycling. Please empty them, replace the cap and check your local council guidance.

Can I recycle sonic toothbrush heads?

The heads are made from a bio-based plastic derived from waste materials, but local recycling rules vary, so please check what your council accepts. The brush itself is covered by our WEEE take-back scheme.
