Ingredients and Formulation

We keep things simple and thoughtful.

Our toothpastes are made without titanium dioxide, a colourant often used to make toothpaste appear bright white. We don’t use it because we prefer to focus on purposeful ingredients.

They are also free from SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), a foaming agent commonly found in traditional toothpastes. So while it may foam less than you’re used to, it’s still designed to leave your mouth feeling clean and refreshed.

Thoughtful Packaging

Waken toothpaste tubes contain a minimum of 30% post consumer recycled plastic. We will be working to increase this over time. We use just one plastic throughout the packaging to ensure maximum recyclability. We've also chosen a low-profile flip-top cap.

Natural Mint Extracts

All Waken toothpastes contain natural mint extracts for a super fresh feeling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. All our toothpastes are certified by the Vegetarian Society as Vegan Friendly.

Yes, all our toothpastes contain fluoride at the NHS recommended levels. This toothpaste contains fluoride at 1,450 ppm F.

Wet your toothbrush and shake off any excess water. Squeeze a small amout of toothpaste onto the bristles of your toothbrush. A pea-sized amount is usually enough for most adults. Brush the tops, sides and backs of all your teeth, making sure to reach every surface. This should take about 2 minutes. Remember to spit out the toothpaste when you have finished.

None of our toothpastes contain SLS, which is a harsh detergent. You might find that the toothpastes foam a little less than old-fashioned toothpastes, but don't worry, they are still doing a great job cleaning your teeth without the cheap foaming agent.

Our new toothpaste tubes are made from mono-material HDPE, which means they’re designed to be widely recyclable in household plastic recycling. We recommend squeezing out as much toothpaste as you can before recycling, but a full rinse isn’t usually necessary. That said, recycling guidelines can vary, so it’s always best to check with your local council to see what’s accepted in your area and whether they require packaging to be rinsed.

We don't recommend any of our toothpastes for children under 7 years old. Adult toothpastes and mouthwashes commonly contain more fluoride than products for younger children as there is a risk that they will swallow the product. Adult products also tend to have a stronger minty flavour that may be challenging for younger taste buds.
